In one short day, this baby will meet one Mrs. MacLean and see her class. In five short days, this baby will board a bus driven by Mr. Yanni headed to Oak View Elem. She will be taken approx 1.2 miles from her home in Breckonridge Woods. And, at approx 8:20 AM she will proudly wear the title of Kindergartener. At the same time, this mommy will be wearing sunglasses so this baby can't see the happy and sad tears. And, at the same time, she will remember that this baby peed all over her when this picture was taken in June 2008. And, that will get me through it. I remember thinking that it can't be worse than when you dropped this baby off at the nanny's. Or, when you took this baby to two schools and waved goodbye. Well, this somehow seems different. Someone else is dropping her off and she is starting a new adventure.
In preparation, I have asked Bridget what she is nervous about: "Meeting new friends."
What is she excited about: "Riding the bus. There better not be seat belts!"
What she wants her teacher to be like: "Fancy."
What she wants Mrs. MacLean to think of her: "That I am shy and smart."
