Visit from the Land Down Under!

We were so happy to have my cousin Megan and her boyfriend Steve come for a visit. And, even more excited that Steve got to see the east coast. It's not every day an Aussie shows up at your door!

There a lot of things we admire about Megan, but the top of the list is the fact that she had the courage to follow her dreams. At the age of 18 (!) she packed it up and moved to Australia and there she met her Russell Crowe. And, here I thought moving several states away was brave...she takes the cake on this one!

We had a great time and they were pros riding the metro on their own, avoiding the green and yellow line like the plague and seeing all those sites we're proud of and not to mention, the ones you always see in the movies. They were a little bummed the Jeffersonian doesn't exist from the tv show Bones (darn you, Fox!), but the shopping, great breakfast at Murphy's in Old Town and the best sandwich ever at Potbelly made up for it.

The kids were super excited to see them and B took a liking to Steve. She started calling him "Uncle Steve". No pressure guys. Anyway, it was great to see them and it's hard to believe it's been three years since Megan lived with us for two weeks helping to take care of Baby B while a frazzled new mommy went back to conquer the workforce. Note how lovely our new fire place screen looks in these pictures. HAHA!
