Kerr Kastle

I've been getting some requests for house updates. This is showing some of the evolution of our family room, thanks to new hardwood floora and the painting efforts of my mom. We have a lot of trees so this part of the house is really dark even in the day. So, Gigi painted it light khaki color - actually painted over the grass cloth Elvis era wallpaper and although I was skeptical at first, it looks pretty cool. All of the trim was this dirty puddy color and now it's brillant white. Gone is the tan carpet with the green border - replaced by hardwood this summer. And, perhaps the most drastic change is the opening Marc did between the family and living rooms (look to the left of the picture). As you can see Sully feels right at home, and YES, it hit a cold 62 degrees and Marc had to fire up the fireplace. It's definitely a work in progress, but it's been fun. More to come.

These were taken during our home inspection back in February.

We tried to get this picture to convey, but no luck. Thought it would look great with a spotlight. HA!
