That may have been the code phrase for the Great Pumpkin Outing of 2013. It was seriously 90 degrees on the one day, that was planned in July, that worked for everybody to go punkin' patchin'. It's become a neighborhood tradition and every year we've added a family. We hit the pumpkin patch bright and early and then rush to the winery before it gets crowded.
Minus the sweat and the red faces, this ain't half bad for a family pic.
B picked a pumpkin as big as she is. And, in fact, we noticed a trend this year. B would choose the brightest orange-est punkin's she could fine. Perfect and round ones. Sam on the other hand opted for the white or green ones. And, at school after we bought two gorgeous pumpkins at the grocery store for La Petite's pretend patch, he choose the saddest, lumpiest, most awkward one. And, you know what, he was so proud. March to your own pumpkin drummer, buddy.
Seriously, are these organic?! They are huge. I wonder if Whole Foods would approve.
My neighbor got this one of B. Love how she is flying among the trees.
Half of the pumpkin crew.
SK discovered a mini drag racing track.
Audrey, B and Charlotte - all a bit overheated.
Speaking of overheated, when this guy's hair stays back Richie Rich style, you know it's held with one thing...sweat.
Until next year when it's 45 degrees and we're all griping about how we wish it were 90 again.
