Creek House

Yeah, you read that right. We have been fortunate enough to go to lake houses, beach houses and maybe even a river house, but never a creek house. Only in the South. I still have to call it a lake house since it reminded me so much of growing up in OH.

We spent the weekend in Colonial Beach with the Clarks, a family that has quickly become our good friends. And, we spent a great Father's Day there, as well. Marc got to go fishing (an obsession) and Bridget even reeled in some fish of her own. We are both mad at ourselves that we didn't get this on camera!

And, perhaps one of the best parts, is that all three kids put themselves down for naps at 11 on Sunday (you read that right!). We actually had an adult lunch and perhaps, some adult beverages soaking in the sun, the Blue Moons and the peace and quiet.

SK super excited about a plastic fish

The kids playing on the beach. The water was a nice reminder of the mighty Maumee...somewhere between a green and a brown. I think Crayola could invite a brown crayon called Maumee brown.
 Swan Lake.
The three nuggets - B, Sophia and SK.
Snuggle time.
