How much more can you fit into five days?!

A lot of monumental steps occurred for us over the course of five days. Sign your life away on a new house. CHECK. Move the very next day. CHECK. Call in a small army to help you unpack. CHECK. Bridget turns three. CHECK. Give the Easter Bunny your new address. CHECK. Host thrown together birthday party with Tinkerbell theme. CHECK. Have Easter egg hunt. CHECK. Stay - somewhat - sane. CHECK.

After a lot of patience, we are no longer in house purgatory. We made a decision in 2007 to sell our condo as the market was falling and since then our life has been a series of twists and turns with a two babies thrown in for good measure. All of this has led to us buying a house off the market through our good friends, the Wallens, in Fairfax (just a little further out in the 'burbs). Our fate with the Wallens is star aligned for sure. They are Sam's godparents who we hooked up with a condo off the market in 2004 just three doors down from ours. From there, they moved to Durham, NC and we put an offer on a house in their neighborhood in 2008 just three doors down from them. This is during a time when Marc was getting transferred with his previous job. Bidding war ensued. We lost. Marc takes new job in DC and we go into house purgatory to "watch" the market. Ed and Katie then move back to Fairfax in August 2010. Katie stands in line voting and starts chatting with a nice woman. Turns out nice woman lives down the street, wants to sell...and here we are!

More house to pics to follow, but got some good ones of the kids outdoors this weekend. Our yard is pretty cool - so we spent some time outdoors yesterday enjoying the sunshine (finally!).
