Independence Baby

For the long weekend, we headed to South Carolina to see Nana and Papa. We had a great time and somehow managed to adjust to the 100% humidity. There were lots of activities, from golf cart rides to the ocean to the baby pool on the lanai to shark fishing! Yes, you read right, Marc and Jim went out hunting for sharks and came back with a ton. They said the first one they caught was over 6 feet....pretty soon the story will have that fish over 10 feet...Marc will be passing this one down through the generations. "Ever hear the one when Great-Grandpa caught a shark?!" Strangers will also know this story. He does love himself a good fishing trip.

We snuck out for some great fireworks. We were the last ones to arrive via golf cart, of course, and think we got the best seat. The fireworks were awesome - far better than the fireworks at Neverland Ranch for sure. Although we did get scolded by some man who said our break lights (from the cart) were ruining his photographs. We need to learn the etiquette for next year.

Gotta see it to believe it. The fishermen in action.

Nana took Bridget for a golfcart ride today. She loved looking for bunnies and for the all the flags at every house.

Danger! Nana gives Bridget the wheel. She tries to focus on the road as she wonders how Dada had a quadruple on the front and still shot 88. The baby pool on the lanai...there was even some skinny dipping tonight Bridgie style. Papa, his moustache and Bridget. Bridget loved giving Papa kisses and then touching his moustache. She thought that was pretty cool. Chilling on the lanai in my new firecracker outfit that Nana bought me special.

More of me looking cute!

Check Bridgie out in the pool. Her favorite phrases are "Yeah!" and "Weeee."
M Nana and Mommy took Bridget to the mall for a little shopping and a little play time. She is starting to become quite the climber and got in there and mixed up with much, much bigger kids.
